Jamorama Review
Posted in Jamorama on March 4th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to commentHey there, it’s Adam here. I finally got down to writing my Jamorama review and here it is.
By the way, if you were looking for the official Jamorama site then just click the link below:

Why am I writing this? Well when I first started learning guitar I came across Jamorama on the web. I tried to do some research but there were very few real reviews of the course by actual users.
So I thought I’d write one to help out anybody thinking about picking this up.
Who is Jamorama for?
The first question is pretty important because if you have the wrong expectations then this may not be for you.
I would say Jamorama is best suited to beginner and intermediate guitarists overall. If you are an advanced player then you may be able to brush up on your skills but you may know a lot of what is taught.
Also if you think that Jamorama will take you from a complete beginner to seriously advanced overnight then you will be disappointed. There is no product or guitar teacher out there who can do that. Get used to the idea that it will take practice but the practice will actually be fun.
What do you get?
If you have been used to learning from your average guitar book then this will come as a nice surprise. There are tons of videos, audios, manuals and even software that show you how to play in a structured way.
You learn in the lessons they have set out for you and have separate manuals for beginner and advanced. Along with that you can jam along to the tracks (this was a really cool part in improving my skills).
Jamorama members also get some nice bonuses such as tuning software, training to give you better pitch and also a trial access to SongPond which is a site that teaches you to play songs by artists like Jimi Hendrix, Radiohead, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Green Day and many others.
Any problems?
I would have liked to have the ability to record what I play and listen back to it. This would be pretty helpful in seeing where I went wrong and how to improve it I think.
Jamorama doesn’t have this unfortunately but I emailed their support desk and get a very quick reply. So hopefully this could be added in the future.
The Verdict
As I said above, this is best suited to beginner and intermediate guitarists. They have really set this up so that you could go from never having played at all through to a really good guitarist if you follow along.
And even if you hate working to a plan and rather do your own thing, you can still pick up new skills and play along to tracks.
On top of that it is very cheap for what you get. I looked into getting some guitar lessons from a professional and the prices were crazy. If you buy Jamorama it is a once-only fee and you get lessons that will last about a year (a lot more realistic for most people).
So all in all I would highly recommend trying Jamorama. They give you a 60 day guarantee so if you’re not satisfied they will refund your money but I doubt you will need it.
